A hand-pulled silkscreen print of a TBM Avenger Torpedo Bomber #309.
I took the original photo at the 1940's Ball in Boulder, Colorado in 2012 at which I was lucky enough to be a volunteer!

Each print is signed, titled, and given a number in the series.

12" wide, 7.25" tall, printed in bright yellow, with tonal greys and stark black, this piece is colorful enough for a children's room, or a great gift for the WWII history buff in your life.
Pictured in the third from last photo of the listing in an 8.5"x14" frame on a wall in our shop, floating on a white cardstock background (frame, backing, matting not included).

This was a 50-piece print run.

***This listing is for prints only, with NO FRAME. Prints will be shipped in a clear sleeve (pictured), in a flat box with padding for protection.***

To learn more about this specific plane, 309, which is maintained and restored by the CAF Rocky Mountain Wing, please check out their Facebook page! (https://www.facebook.com/warbird.rides)

From their fundraising page: "The TBM is a rare torpedo bomber which played a crucial role in the Pacific Theater. Of the nearly 10,000 TBM Avengers built fewer than 20 TBMs remain flying today. This Avenger served for a short time just after the end of WWII on the Carrier USS Leyte and then went on Lend-Lease to the Royal Canadian Navy.  She flew Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) missions from the Carrier HMS Magnificent through 1958.  During this time, she led a formation flight over Queen Elizabeth's 1953 Coronation Review of the Fleet, which set the stage for her addition to the Colorado and National Registers of Historic Places!  We use the plane, and stories of the people who flew and supported it, to keep the memory, spirit, and values of the Greatest Generation alive for current and future generations."

We do everything we can to photograph our items as they appear when viewing them in person, but please be aware that there may be differences between photos and the final print due to differences in computer screen/monitor color settings, and lighting conditions in our shop versus your home. Even the frame you choose when you mount this piece to be hung in your home can affect how the colors are perceived.

Prints will not have a watermark when received.

DETAILS & DIMENSIONS
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

12"x7.25", print goes straight to the edge of the material and is signed, titled, and series numbered on the back.

The black frame in our photo was from Amazon. It is 8.5"x14".
We put the print on a white cardstock background for hanging. A floating frame would also work great! We're happy to frame it for you for additional cost, contact us!

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
PRODUCTION PROCESS
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Screen Printed items are designed in-house, screens are coated, dried, exposed, washed out, and prepped in-house, and then printed either by hand or on our Cameo (print area ~15”x24”), Sias (print area ~33”x48”), or Filbar Press (print area ~44”x65”).

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
MATERIALS
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

We use solvent-based inks from Nazdar. Do not use solvent-based chemicals such as alcohol or lacquer thinner on any items from our shop, they will solubilize inks and degrade adhesive.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
PERSONALIZATION

We absolutely love customizing orders for people!

You can contact us here on Etsy by sending a message, or you can email us at Hello@InkBirdPrintStudio.com  (No solicitation, please.)

If we cannot complete and order in-house with the machines we have at our disposal, we will partner with another local business or production house to get it done.

SHIPPING
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Every package we send out will include tracking, no matter how small. Our items ship from our workshop in Pontiac, Michigan.

For small items, we utilize USPS First Class Mail Package Service.
For larger or heavier items, we will check pricing between USPS and UPS and choose the more economical option.

DELAYS & ISSUES WITH DELIVERY
USPS does experience rerouting and delays from time to time. InkBird Print Studio is not responsible for lost or delayed packages. But, if your package hasn’t moved in a few days please reach out to let us know and we will open a case with USPS.

If a package has been marked as delivered, but you did not receive it, you will need to reach out to your local postal location to ask them about your options. Once something has been marked as “delivered” we are not able to open cases as the package is no longer considered ours (or at least that’s what we were told last time we tried).
If you cannot go to your local post office in person, PostalLocations.com will often have the direct number to your local post office.
